Job summary
Valmont Industries in Midland, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair galvanizing equipment within the Global Coatings Division. The role focuses on electrical, mechanical, and preventative maintenance, with responsibilities including equipment installation, repair planning, and safe operation improvements.
You will work at the Midland, PA site, performing light electrical work, equipment installations, and maintenance planning, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Three years of previous experience in an Industrial Maintenance position.
- Knowledge of pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Ability to demonstrate mechanical/basic electrical knowledge through testing.
- Significant electrical knowledge of 480/220 3-phase and 110 volt.
- Ability to climb and work from ladders, man lifts, bridge cranes, and roofs up to 80 ft.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Two years of experience using hand/power tools.
- Good communication with coworkers.
Responsibilities
- Perform light electrical work to repair or maintain equipment.
- Move hazardous waste drums to storage areas.
- Install, configure, dismantle, and replace equipment and parts.
- Plan and manage repairs and maintenance of equipment and buildings.
- Adjust equipment for safe and efficient operation.
