Job summary

TIC_Craft in Texas is seeking an experienced equipment operator to manage power construction gear for excavation, road maintenance, and drainage tasks.

You will load and grade materials, trench for culverts and pipes, and inspect equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Heavy lifting and outdoor work in all weather are required; overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with prior field experience preferred.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions; communicate effectively with supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate various vehicles and heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Check and maintain fluid levels and lubrication of equipment.
• May instruct and train employees in safe operation of construction equipment and techniques.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or problems.
