Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an Intermediate level equipment operator to manage power construction equipment for excavation, grading and material movement on job sites in Texas. You will operate several heavy machines, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safe operation during loading, hauling and dumping on varied surfaces.

Responsibilities include loading materials, grading roads, trenching for pipes, and training others in safe operation as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
• Working knowledge and abilities for position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights‑of‑way including loading, hauling and dumping on rough surfaces.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for culverts and pipes; remove silt and debris.
