Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to perform maintenance and excavation tasks on roads and rights-of-way. You will load, haul, and grade materials, inspect equipment, and train others in safe operation, with physical requirements and ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities include operating various vehicles, trenching, and ensuring proper lubrication and fluid levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience in the field or related area.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for culverts and water/sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Inspect equipment and maintain fluid levels and lubrication.
• Instruct and train employees in safe operation of equipment and job techniques.
• Inspect structures or materials to identify causes of errors, defects or problems.
