Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company seeks an experienced equipment operator to manage power construction equipment for excavation, material movement, and road grading. You will load, haul, and grade materials while maintaining safety standards on varied terrains.

The role requires reading and following instructions, good communication with supervision, and ability to work outdoors in all weather. Overtime and physical work are common aspects of the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Good communication with supervision and management.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for installation of culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes.
• Check and maintain fluid levels and lubrication of equipment.
• Instruct and train employees in safe operation of construction equipment and tools.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors or defects.
