Job summary

TIC_Craft in Texas is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to drive and maintain a range of power construction machines on road and right-of-way projects. You will excavate, load, grade, and lay out materials while adhering to safety procedures and project schedules.

Expect to perform routine maintenance, inspect fluid levels, and support training of crew on safe operation. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to work long hours in varied weather

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with field experience
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Proficient use of tools and measurement devices

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade material.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Construct ditches for installation of culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; inspect and maintain fluids and lubrication.
• Instruct and train employees in safe operation of construction equipment and tools and in job techniques.
