Job summary

Loon Mountain Resort is seeking a skilled builder to maintain and repair structures on-site. You will read blueprints, select materials, assemble frames, install windows/doors, and help with safety and energy efficiency across the property.

The role requires the ability to perform essential duties, read and communicate effectively, and lift up to 50-100 pounds. A valid Operator’s License is preferred to operate equipment. This is a full-time on-site position at the resort.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or two years related experience or training in building trades.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to solve practical problems.
• Operator’s License.

Responsibilities

• Conduct projects on a planned timeline to address building needs on the property and housing units.
• May work with other departments as necessary.
• Review blueprints and plans for material types and dimensions.
• Select materials, prepare layout, and assemble components efficiently.
• Builds framework, flooring, roofing and related structures on property.
• Install windows, doors, weather stripping, trim and hardware.
• Work with scaffolding and ladders and operate lifts.
• Maintain energy efficiency through updated windows, doors and insulation.
• Attend safety training and contribute to team safety meetings.
• Ensure safety of guests and employees and support cleanliness and resort security.
