At Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC), a Carpenter role in Guam focuses on skilled carpentry tasks, including construction, alteration, and repair of structural components. You will work with blueprints and schedules to ensure quality finishes in varied environments, with safety and adherence to regulations central to daily duties.

The role requires 5+ years of carpentry experience, interpretation of plans, and strong tool knowledge.

Qualifications

Minimum of five years of carpentry experience.
Ability to interpret blueprints and job orders.
Valid state driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Tier 1 Public Trust background check if required.
Ability to work safely with power equipment.

Responsibilities

Plan and lay out carpentry work using blueprints and schedules.
Determine materials, supplies, equipment required for tasks.
Perform precise measuring, cutting, fitting, and installation.
Construct, install, repair doors, windows, ceilings, trim, and related elements.
Fabricate fixtures and office components.
Coordinate with other trades to ensure proper sequencing.
Provide guidance to less-experienced workers on complex tasks.
Inspect completed work for quality, safety, and compliance.
Maintain a clean, safe work area and restore spaces after maintenance.
Complete required training within established timelines.
