Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) seeks a skilled Carpenter to support operations and maintenance at our Guam site. You will work on structural carpentry projects, including doors, windows, ceilings, trim, and associated installations, ensuring quality and safety throughout all tasks.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, measuring precisely, and coordinating with other trades to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of carpentry experience.
• Safely set up and operate common and specialized power equipment, machinery, and hand tools.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications and estimate labor, materials, and time.
• Knowledge of worksite safety practices and hazards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lay out carpentry work using blueprints and schedules.
• Determine materials, supplies, equipment, and tools required for safe, efficient work.
• Perform precise measuring, cutting, and installation for sound structures and weather-tight openings.
• Construct, install, repair, and modify doors, windows, stairs, ceilings, trim, and other elements.
• Fabricate and install fixtures and utility components for offices, shops, and facilities.
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure proper sequencing and completion of work.
