Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a Painter to prepare, paint, and maintain interior and exterior surfaces at facilities in Guam. The role emphasizes safety, quality finishes, and adherence to project specs.

You will apply paints, stains, and coatings, perform surface prep, and ensure proper cleanup and documentation while working in a team. Compliance with OSHA and company policies is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years related painting experience minimum; 2+ preferred.
• Ability to read work orders, specifications, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, patching, caulking, filling, and priming as required.
• Applies paint, stain, varnish, epoxy coatings, sealants, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other methods.
• Paints and refinishes interior and exterior walls, ceilings, doors, floors, structures, equipment, and other components.
• Repairs and prepares damaged surfaces prior to applying finishes.
• Mixes, matches, and adjusts paints and coatings to achieve colors and textures.
• Operates, cleans, and maintains painting tools and equipment.
• Inspects completed work for coverage, finish quality, and compliance.
