Old Town Butcher is seeking a hard‑working, reliable butcher/meat cutter to join our team. This hands‑on role involves working behind the counter and with customers, handling wild game processing, and maintaining a clean workspace.

The position is physically demanding and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and teamwork. Competitive pay and opportunities to grow in butchery skills are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous meat cutting, butchering, or wild game processing experience strongly preferred.
• Must be comfortable processing deer and handling animal carcasses.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy products and working in refrigerated environments.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, portion, and prepare various cuts of meat.
• Break down deer, whole and partial carcasses, and other wild game.
• Grind, process, package, and label meat products.
• Assist customers with meat selections, custom cuts, and questions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace.
• Safely operate knives, saws, grinders, and other processing equipment.
• Assist with deliveries, stocking, and daily shop operations.
• Work as part of a team and jump in wherever needed.
