Qualifications

• Requires 6 years practical experience or equivalent education/experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical school preferred.
• Specialized training in repair/refinish of truck/trailer required.
• Proficiency with trade tools (welding, paint, shop machines, power tools).
• DOT regulations and Penske safety policies must be adhered to.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain truck and trailer components, including cab/sheet metal, welding, frame alignment, suspension and electrical systems.
• Identify parts needed for repair of disassembled units.
• Perform truck collision repair services.
• Document warrantable repairs on repair orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with safety standards.
• Road test vehicles when necessary and work with supervision as needed.
