Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to expertly assess and repair vehicles, ensuring they return to pre-accident condition. The role focuses on meticulous disassembly/reassembly, speed, and customer excellence within a collaborative team.

You will plan repairs, prepare estimates, and use a variety of tools to restore vehicles, align frames, and replace parts. A high school diploma or technical training is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies and tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields.
• Weld and fit parts; prepare and repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect for quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
