Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through precise assessment and high-quality vehicle repairs. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while aligning with speed, quality, and customer excellence goals.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with technical school or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers using various tools to repair sections.
• Hammers out dents, applies filler resins when needed.
• Realigns chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with parts; repairs glass and windshields.
• Replaces or repairs interior parts as needed.
• Welds and attaches parts; preps and repaints vehicles to spec.
• Completes work orders within labor time guidelines and inspects vehicles after repair.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
