Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Assembly Technician 2 for the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will design, assemble, test, and document electronic security solutions for federal, local, and commercial customers.

The role involves wiring terminations, cabling, and assembling racks and panels, with safety at the forefront. Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED with 5+ years of experience, and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment, devices, and components for shipping.
• Reads, interprets, and follows fabrication documents, engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs.
• Assists with verifying, testing, and documenting results of wiring terminations, cabling, and basic components.
• Maintains progress status by documenting actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
• Follows the project Safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW).
• Assembles equipment racks, enclosures, back panels, and components.
• Routes, secures, and terminates basic copper cables and assemblies.
• Assembles basic copper cable harnesses.
• Kits equipment, devices, and materials for assembly and shipping.
