Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Assembly Technician 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will help design, assemble, test, and ship electronic security equipment for federal, local, and commercial customers, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and safety standards.

The role requires high school or GED with at least 3 years of experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights up to 60 feet, and strong teamwork. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 3 years of experience.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Reads and follows fabrication drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment, devices, and components for shipping.
• Gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials for work.
• Reads, interprets, and follows documents to assemble equipment.
• Assists with testing and documenting wiring terminations and basic components.
• Updates progress and time charging in M.C. Dean systems.
• Follows project Safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW).
• Assembles equipment racks, enclosures, and panels.
• Routes and terminates basic copper cables and harnesses.
• Kits equipment and materials for shipping.
