Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc is seeking a Security Assembly Technician 3 within the Security and Electronic Systems unit. You will lead teams assembling enclosures, racks, and panels, while ensuring accuracy of parts, wiring, and documentation.

The role emphasizes hands-on assembly, QA/QC, and mentoring junior technicians. Responsibilities include wiring, testing, and configuring equipment, reading blueprints, coordinating schedules, and communicating with supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 6+ years of experience.
• Military mechanical, electrical, electronics training.
• Graduation from an accredited Electronics program or Electrical Apprenticeship or 2 additional years in related installation/maintenance.
• 6+ years of mechanical/electrical/electronic installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems.
• Strong background with hand and power tools.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic principles.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints or assembly instructions.
• Team player with strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
• MS Excel, Word knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams on assembly projects for equipment enclosures and racks.
• Verify parts and equipment availability and ensure task readiness.
• Read drawings/blueprints and interpret them for tasks.
• Assign personnel to tasks and monitor progress.
• Assemble/populate equipment carts, racks, enclosures, panels.
• Perform QA/QC checks and final project testing.
• Document materials, serials, and asset tags correctly.
• Mentor subordinates and provide training as needed.
• Maintain project tracking in Job Connect.
