Job summary

Blythe Construction, Inc. is seeking a skilled Screed Operator to join our asphalt crew. You will set up and operate the paver, adjust depth and grade, and ensure the finished cross section meets plan specifications. Experience coordinating with foreman and other operators is valued.

Outdoor work in all weather is required. Overtime and travel may be required. A minimum of 3–5 years in the field and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires related experience as Screed Operator.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must understand work directions and communicate with supervisors.
• 3–5+ years of industry experience with roads/highways.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt paver to control depth and cross section.
• Collaborate with crew to apply asphalt per plan and meet schedules.
• Follow safety policies and report issues to Foreman or Safety Manager.
• Adapt to overtime, schedule/location changes; possible travel.
• Maintain PPE and follow traffic control requirements.
