Job summary

The Breeden Company is seeking a Full-Time Apartment Maintenance Technician in Richmond, VA. Responsibilities include maintenance of the property, apartment turns, preventative upkeep, grounds care, and asset maintenance to meet safety, appearance, and operation standards.

Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior maintenance experience, and related HVAC/CMRP certifications are a plus. Expect 24-hour on-call rotations and a 48-hour work-order window for resident requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalence.
• Prior experience as an Apartment Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• HVAC, CMRP, or equivalent certification is advantageous; company supports certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair property interiors and exteriors, including apartments, building assets, and grounds.
• Follow safety policies, laws, and company standards for housing operations.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests and complete work orders within 48 hours.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely service.
• Inspect make-ready apartments for move-in quality and adherence to standards.
• Maintain property in a clean, safe, and professional condition.
• Coordinate asset management across apartments, exteriors, and grounds.
