Job summary

The Breeden Company is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to handle maintenance across the property, including turns, preventative care, and grounds upkeep. You will ensure safety, appearance, and operation meet company standards and will work closely with residents and team members.

Responsibilities include responding to service requests within 48 hours, performing make-ready inspections, and participating in asset management for the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as an Apartment Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• HVAC, CMRP, or equivalent certification is advantageous but not required; company will support training.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds without assistance.
• Dexterity and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Available to work on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the company’s operating and safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local laws pertaining to the operations of the community.
• Comply with Fair Housing laws.
• Maintain the physical condition of the community and grounds.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests within 48 hours.
• Participate in asset management for apartments and grounds.
• Troubleshoot issues and take corrective action.
• Inspect make-ready apartments for move-in quality.
• Possess necessary tools to complete maintenance tasks.
• Maintain positive communication with residents, team members, and vendors.
• Be on 24-hour on-call rotation as required.
