Job summary

The Breeden Company, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to perform maintenance across Woodbriar Apartments in Chesapeake, VA. This full-time, on-site role covers apartment turns, preventative maintenance, grounds work, and safety compliance.

You will handle resident requests, inspect units for move-in quality, and participate in asset management activities while maintaining a professional appearance and teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior maintenance experience in apartments or similar setting.
• HVAC certification is advantageous but not required; employer supports training.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Weekend availability.

• Respond quickly and courteously to resident requests for maintenance service; work orders completed within 48 hours.
• 24-hour on-call rotation will be required, based on rotation roster for each community
• Follow up on service requests to ensure the highest quality customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot the source of difficulty and take appropriate action within the quality and time standards established for the community.
• Inspect make-ready apartments for move-in quality and company standard.
• Possess and continually improve technical skills in all areas of property maintenance.
• Participate in all areas of required asset management, including apartments, building exteriors and grounds.
