Job summary

Francis O. Day Co., Inc. in Maryland and Virginia seeks an experienced Skid-Steer Operator to support asphalt paving operations.

The role requires operating skid-steer loaders (Bobcats), performing site preparation, material handling, and cleanup to help keep projects on schedule. You will work with foremen and crews, follow safety procedures, complete training, and maintain equipment. The position is full-time, seasonal (March–December), with a base pay range of $19.00–$22.00 per hour depending

Qualifications

• Experience operating skid-steer loaders (Bobcats) in asphalt paving.
• Strong verbal communication; able to read and write.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Must complete safety training and provide training records.

Responsibilities

• Operate Bobcat for grading, backfilling, and material distribution.
• Perform pre-operation safety and maintenance inspections.
• Assist in setup and cleanup of job sites.
• Collaborate with foremen and crew to meet timelines.
• Keep job site clear of debris and hazards.
