Job summary

Bear Valley Mountain Resort is seeking a Seasonal Full Time supervisor for Ski & Snowboard School lesson programs in Bear Valley, CA. You will oversee scheduling, motivate instructors, and ensure guest experiences meet high standards using the PSIA/AASI Teaching Model.

The ideal candidate holds a PSIA-AASI Level II or higher and demonstrates enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with Guest Services, Lesson Desk, Rentals, and management.

Qualifications

• PSIA-AASI Level II minimum with ability to ski/ride at advanced level.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for coordinating instructors.
• Experience with scheduling and payroll reporting.
• Knowledge of The Code (NSAA) and PSIA/AASI Teaching Model.

Responsibilities

• Manage lesson programs, including daily coordination with instructors and other supervisors.
• Create and confirm instructor schedules.
• Confirm and communicate instructor daily assignments.
• Maintain lesson inventory based on demand and instructor availability.
• Maintain accurate field sheets for payroll.
• Report on lesson results including no-shows and special requests.
• Oversee outdoor instructional area setup and teardown daily.
• Coordinate training and safety discussions with staff.
• Support performance evaluations and lesson observations.
• Keep staff informed of resort news and events.
