Job summary

Solitude Mountain Resort is seeking a Ski & Ride School Manager to oversee daily operations of the Ski & Ride School during winter and the mountain bike and adventure park programs in summer. You will lead frontline supervisors, manage scheduling, staffing, budgets, and guest experiences, and partner with the Snowsports Director to ensure safety, training, and high-quality lesson experiences.

This is a full-time, year-round leadership role requiring degree and 5 years in ski school leadership,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Hospitality, Business Management, or related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within ski & ride school or outdoor recreation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with empathy and fairness.
• Knowledge of ski school operations, safety procedures, and best practices.
• Proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, and HRIS/CMS/LMS tools (RTP, Flaik, Workday).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a team of supervisors to oversee on-hill and indoor staff for daily operations.
• Lead ski school functions: scheduling, staffing, inventory, and timekeeping for efficiency.
• Recruit, train, and manage supervisors, instructors, and support staff.
• Ensure high-quality guest experiences and resolve issues promptly.
• Draft budgets and monitor expenditures in partnership with the Snowsports Director.
