Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company at Stratton is seeking enthusiastic ski instructors for seasonal positions. You will deliver lessons to beginners through advanced guests in a safe, fun, and professional environment. Both full-time and part-time seasonal roles are available. Scheduled hours vary with business volume. Starting wage is $20.00 per hour, with increases as you gain certifications.

Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December. Weekend and holiday work required.

Qualifications

• Skiing or riding experience is required.
• Actively pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Certification a plus, but not mandatory.
• Teaching experience preferred (in Snowsports or other fields).
• Complete a 4-day in-person new hire training clinic.
• Must be available on the following key dates: Dec. 27–31; Jan 16-17; Feb 13-14; Full time Feb 16-19.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Strong social and verbal communication and customer service skills
• Complete a 4-day in-person new hire training clinic hosted by Snowsports School
• Must be available on the following key dates: Dec. 27 – 31; Jan 16-17; Feb 13-14; Full time Feb 16-19

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will be required to weekends and holidays.
