Job summary

Stratton Mountain Resort is seeking enthusiastic Snow Sports Instructors to teach guests of all ages and abilities in a fun, safe mountain environment. The role offers full-time and part-time seasonal positions with varied hours based on business volume.

Starting wage is $20.00/hour, with increased hourly wages as certifications are earned. Perks include access to employee passes, store discounts, and health benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Skiing or riding experience required.
• Actively pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 16 years old; certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach skiing at all ability levels.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Deliver lessons through group, private, and seasonal programs.
• Participate in instructor training and professional development.
• Assist with lesson area setup and surface lift operations.
• Support Snow School operations: registration, lunch, and carpet zones.
• Communicate clearly with guests, guardians, and team members.

We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing individuals who are passionate about snow sports and love helping others learn. In this role, instructors will deliver lessons to beginner, intermediate, and advanced guests of all ages in a safe, fun, and professional environment. Full Time and Part Time seasonal positions available. Scheduled hours will vary depending on business volume. Starting wage of $20.00/hour, increased hourly wages with certifications. Recruitment for this role will be ongoing through December.

Essential Duties

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements

• Skiing or riding experience (required)
• Actively pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent, required
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Certification a plus, but not mandatory
• Teaching experience preferred (in Snowsports or other fields)
• Strong social and verbal communication and customer service skills
• Complete a 4-day in-person new hire training clinic hosted by Snowsports School
• Must be available on the following key dates: Dec. 27 - 31; Jan 16-17; Feb 13-14; Full time Feb 16-19

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will be required to weekends and holidays.
