Job summary

The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians is seeking an Events Worker to support events and programs under the Events Coordinator.

Responsibilities include skate patrol, skate rentals, assisting with youth activities, setting up and tearing down events, and serving as a cashier within the facility. Ideal candidates will have strong customer service skills, the ability to communicate effectively, basic First Aid/ CPR knowledge, and willingness to work evenings, weekends and some holidays in

Qualifications

• Public relations and customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, required.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn First Aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Performs Skate Patrol duties while enforcing rink rules.
• Assists with skate rental operations and keeps rental area clean.
• Supports recreational activities during youth programs and events.
• Assists with setup and teardown of events and acts as a cashier in facility areas.
• Works in reception/concession areas as needed and performs general facility cleaning.
