Job summary

The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians is seeking a Student Services Assistant to support the Youth Services Coordinator.

This role focuses on coordinating direct services for Native American youth from preschool through 12th grade, enhancing academic, cultural, and social outcomes. You will work with individuals or small groups, reinforce learning, and help with homework while collaborating with parents and teachers to promote student success.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree, or Technical Certified in Education preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience working with youth.

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing program activities, recognition events, and recruiting participants.
• Participates in Youth Education and Activities program activities and supervises the group.
• Maintains records of student participation, studies, and communications with parents/teachers.
