Job summary

VIP Community Services in New York, NY seeks a Site Supervisor to lead the social service and operations staff at a 24-hour housing site. The role supervises case managers and shift supervisors, assesses tenants' psychosocial needs, and develops treatment plans while coordinating referrals to community resources.

You will work with DHS, property management, and external shelters, provide crisis intervention, ensure timely documentation, and help connect residents with services to restore

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (MSW or MHC preferred) with 2 years' clinical supervision experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification due within 2 months of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with all populations served.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise social service and operations staff as directed by Housing leadership.
• Coordinate referrals to community resources and other agencies for services.
• Maintain knowledge of medical/mental health diagnoses and treatment in work with vulnerable populations.
• Contribute to budgeting and fiscal awareness.
• Collaborate with property management, DHS and external shelters on housing referrals.
• Provide consultation on psychosocial needs and impact on health care and treatment adherence.
• Utilize computer software for drafting documents, data management, and reporting.
• Deliver crisis intervention and stabilization; may include after-hours coverage.
• Complete and sign off on required documentation promptly.
• Identify program needs and recommend improvements; engage in community outreach.
