Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role on construction sites.
• Experience overseeing multiple trades and ensuring safety and quality on site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on site, ensuring work aligns with schedule and specs.
• Direct a team of laborers, tradespeople, and subcontractors to maintain productivity and compliance.
• Enforce health and safety regulations with regular inspections and toolbox talks.
• Monitor workmanship quality and material compliance with codes and project standards.
• Maintain site logs, progress reports, and resource tracking.
• Manage storage and movement of materials and equipment on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on site, ensuring work is completed according to schedule and specifications.
• Manage and direct a team of skilled laborers, tradespeople, and subcontractors, ensuring productivity and adherence to work instructions.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety regulations on site, conducting regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials used, ensuring compliance with project standards and building codes.
• Maintain site logs, records, and daily reports, documenting progress, issues, and resources utilized.
• Ensure the proper storage and management of materials and equipment on site.
• Liaise with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to address site-specific issues and resolve conflicts.
• Inspect work completed by subcontractors, ensuring quality and adherence to contractual agreements.
• Promote a positive and safety-conscious work culture among the site team.

Requirements

• Relevant trade qualification or a National Diploma in Construction Management/Civil Engineering is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role on construction sites.
• Proven experience in overseeing various construction trades (e.g., concrete, masonry, finishing).
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations (e.g., OHS Act).
