About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily on-site construction activities and personnel.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project blueprints, specifications, and safety standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain a safe and clean job site, enforcing all health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Inspect work performed by subcontractors and tradespeople to ensure quality and compliance.
• Manage the delivery and storage of materials and equipment on site.
• Report daily on site progress, challenges, and resource needs to the project manager.
• Maintain site logs and records of work performed, personnel on site, and safety incidents.
• Liaise with clients or their representatives regarding site activities when required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing site issues.
• Experience in managing teams and subcontractors effectively.
• Basic computer literacy for reporting purposes.
• Relevant trade qualification or construction management certification is a plus.
• Must be physically fit and able to work on a construction site in various weather conditions.
