Job summary

YMCA of South Hampton Roads seeks a Site Supervisor to lead high-quality child care for ages 5-12. Under the Youth Development Director, you will oversee daily operations, support staff, and collaborate with families to promote positive outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, supervising activities, and delivering developmentally appropriate curriculum, with strong communication and leadership essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must meet YMCA leadership competencies and VA requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• Medication Authorization Training (MAT) within 60 days of hire.
• Background checks completed as part of pre-employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of child care program for ages 5-12.
• Supervise staff, support curriculum implementation, and ensure safety.
• Communicate with families and community partners to promote outcomes.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and development opportunities.
