YMCA of South Hampton Roads is seeking a Counselor (Site Lead) to oversee high‑quality child care programs for ages 5–12. You will lead daily operations, support staff, and partner with families and the community to promote positive outcomes for children and families.

Under the Youth Development Director, you will ensure curriculum delivery, staff development, licensing compliance, and program quality across locations, driving a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet Director-designee qualifications per VA DoE Division of Child Care Health and Safety.
• CPR/First Aid within 30 days; MAT within 60 days; background checks required.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support child care program operations and staff.
• Ensure curriculum implementation and program quality.
• Engage families and community partners to support children and families.
• Maintain reports, enrollment, attendance, and compliance with licensing.
