Jobtailor is seeking a hands-on supervisor to coordinate sanitation program activities in Napa, CA. You will oversee employees and temps, ensure OSHA and safety compliance, and manage reports and inspections. A strong leader with training skills will thrive in this role.

The position requires 6 months to 1 year of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and potentially a valid driver’s license and forklift certification. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, with some travel possible.

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely coordinate activities within the assigned program
  • Coordinate company employees and temporary employees engaged in the program
  • Inspect areas, equipment, and working conditions for sanitation and OSHA compliance
  • Perform duties of employees within the assigned program
  • Train, supervise, and instruct employees on tasks, safety, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate and monitor work activities; recommend training and discipline
  • Prepare pass-down, weekly, and monthly written reports
  • Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
  • Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
  • Track supplies and maintain inventory
  • Monitor proper use of personal protective equipment
  • Report personnel and customer issues to the manager
  • Correct at-risk behavior and report it to the manager
  • Recommend corrective action for areas needing improvement
  • Maintain training, inspection, attendance, and metric records
  • Interview, hire, plan, assign, and direct work
  • Conduct performance evaluations, reward and discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve problems
  • Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements
