Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking a Project Subcontracts Specialist to manage subcontract administration on utility-scale solar and wind projects. This site-based role requires coordinating with project teams to ensure compliance, performance, and timely change management across embodiments.

You will travel up to 100%, supporting multiple sites nationwide, with per diem and base pay to cover living expenses. The role centers on risk mitigation, contract administration, and effective subcontractor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five+ years of experience administering construction subcontracts on large industrial, energy, infrastructure, renewable energy, or EPC projects.
• Three+ years of field-based or project-site contract/subcontract management experience.
• Experience supporting utility-scale renewable energy projects preferred.
• Experience with subcontract negotiations, change management, claims administration, and dispute resolution.
• Experience using Procore, Viewpoint Vista, Oracle, or similar construction management systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer subcontract agreements for utility-scale solar or wind construction projects from mobilization through project closeout.
• Serve as the primary onsite commercial representative for subcontractors on the project.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with contractual obligations, scope, schedule milestones, and commercial terms.
• Draft, review, and issue contractual notices related to performance deficiencies, delays, disruptions, safety violations, scope changes, and other contract matters.
• Lead commercial meetings with subcontractors to review contract compliance, progress, issues, and risk mitigation actions.
