Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking a Project Subcontracts Specialist to manage on-site subcontracts for utility-scale solar and wind projects. The role involves serving as the primary commercial contact for subcontractors and ensuring compliance with contracts, safety, schedule, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience administering construction subcontracts on large industrial, energy, infra, renewables, or EPC projects.
• 3+ years of field-based or project-site contract management experience.
• Experience with subcontract negotiations, change management, claims administration, and dispute resolution.
• Experience using Procore, Viewpoint Vista, Oracle, or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer subcontract agreements for utility-scale solar or wind construction projects from mobilization through project closeout.
• Serve as the primary onsite commercial representative for subcontractors on the project.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with contractual obligations, scope, schedule, and terms.
• Draft, review, and issue contractual notices for performance issues, delays, and scope changes.
• Lead subcontract change order processes including pricing reviews, approvals, and execution.
• Track subcontractor performance, earned value, contract balances, and claims.
• Lead commercial meetings with subcontractors to review contract compliance and risk mitigation actions.
• Support resolution of subcontract disputes and negotiations involving schedule impacts and productivity issues.
