Job summary

MasTec Renewables seeks a Project Subcontracts Specialist to oversee onsite administration of subcontract agreements for utility-scale solar and wind projects. You will coordinate with Project Management, Construction, Procurement, Commercial, and Legal teams to ensure compliance, performance, and risk management on site.

The role is project-site based with extensive travel, up to 100%, including rotations across the U.S. and a NM site in Clovis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five+ years of experience administering construction subcontracts on large industrial, energy, infrastructure, renewable energy, or EPC projects.
• Three+ years of field-based or project-site contract/subcontract management experience.
• Experience with subcontract negotiations, change management, claims administration, and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Administer subcontract agreements for utility-scale solar or wind construction projects from mobilization through project closeout.
• Serve as the primary onsite commercial representative for subcontractors assigned to the project.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with contractual obligations, scope requirements, schedule milestones, and commercial terms.
• Draft, review, and issue contractual notices related to performance deficiencies, delays, disruptions, safety violations, scope changes, and other contract matters.
• Lead commercial meetings with subcontractors to review contract compliance, progress, issues, and risk mitigation actions.
