Job summary

ISC Constructors is seeking a Site Safety Manager to support safety on industrial construction sites. You will lead safety orientations, maintain records, and drive hazard recognition through daily analyses and toolbox talks.

Strong bilingual communication and field safety expertise are required. Responsibilities include incident reporting, JSA reviews, and developing safety training materials for a large workforce.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish for site communications.
• Demonstrated safety leadership and incident prevention.
• CSST or COSS certification preferred; others considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety orientation for ISC associates and subcontractors.
• Maintain and audit safety recordkeeping for the jobsite.
• Participate in daily safety analyses and toolbox talks.
• Identify and implement mitigations to ensure a safe worksite.
• Review JSA twice daily and sign off on accuracy.
• Report incidents immediately to management and safety team.
• Develop site safety controls and internal auditing materials.

The Position:

We are looking for Site Safety Manager with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce. This position provides safety support and training to ISC associates, monitors, and assists with safety recordkeeping and safety activities for a jobsite. Applicants should have the ability to:

• Conducts site specific safety orientation with ISC associates and subcontractors when first arriving to the site.
• Maintains jobsite safety recordkeeping.
• Is involved in daily job safety analysis and tool box meetings with work crews to assist in positive hazard recognition.
• Proactively seek out good mitigation measures and controls to provide the safest worksite possible for everyone.
• Participates in job safety analysis and toolbox meetings with work crews to assist in positive hazard recognition.
• Reviews Job Safety Analysis (JSA) twice daily for accuracy and acknowledges by signing the JSA.
• Immediately reports incidents/accidents to jobsite management, owner, and/or ISC corporate safety management.
• Be a leader and representative of ISC's safety policies and procedures. Company spokesperson with owner on safety related topics.
• Ale to develop and maintain an internal auditing system, training materials and presentations.
• Capable of managing jobs with 100+ or more.
• Conducts scheduled daily safety meetings.
• Monitors safety progress at the work site and recommends corrective measures for potential safety problems to ISC management as needed.
• Conducts safety observations and distributes to all necessary individuals and ISC Regional Safety Manager or Director. Minimum 2 each to be performed.
• Learns ISC safety policies and procedures, beyond that expected from craft associates.
• Conveys a team effort with site management, owner, and other contractors to manage and monitor safety at the work site through frequently scheduled meetings.
• Capable of developing a Site Specific Action Plan.
• Ability to submit a complete ISC incident report with all supporting safety documentation.
• Conducts formal audits / job walks with owner.
• Manages the Site Safety Equipment inventory.
• Capable of conducting Root Cause Analysis.
• Escort associates to onsite or offsite occupational medicine.
• Understands the common principles of construction and the OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Must have a minimum of 5+ years in Industrial Safety Field Experience
• Ability to communicate with ease in both English and Spanish
• Clear MVR
• Certified in Basic First-aid, CPR and AED use trained
• Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST), Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS), or similar certification preferred
• Able to use a computer including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Must be knowledgeable of the hazards associated with the areas for which responsible.
