Job summary

NOVO Construction, Inc. seeks a Safety Manager to coordinate and implement its Site Specific Environmental Health and Safety Program across projects.

Reporting to the corporate Safety Director, you will work with superintendents, project managers, and clients to foster a safe work environment. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, coaching teams on hazard control, preparing reports, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory safety requirements.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Hour Construction Certification completed.
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification current.
• CHST or OSHA 500 preferred certifications.
• Minimum 5 years' full-time commercial construction experience.
• Experience on multi-million dollar projects a plus.
• Ability to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Proficient with MS Office; field reporting capability.
• Comfortable working on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections across project sites and ensure records are complete.
• Coach teams on hazard identification and resolution.
• Prepare reports and recommend corrective actions for deficiencies.
• Ensure safety of employees, subcontractors, clients and the public.
• Ensure compliance with NOVO Construction safety requirements and regs.
• Develop and implement project-specific safety plans with superintendents.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; identify root causes and actions.
• Conduct safety briefings, trainings, and testing for all employees.
• Coordinate safety needs with project team and clients.
• Ensure subcontractors meet safety expectations and promote safety culture.
