Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades, in partnership with a national electrical contractor, seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs across Austin projects. You will work with project leadership, field personnel, trade partners, and clients to identify risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen safety culture on complex construction sites.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of construction EHS experience, strong leadership, and the ability to translate safety

Qualifications

• 7+ years of EHS experience in construction/industrial settings
• 1–2+ years in a management/leadership role
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
• Experience overseeing EHS programs on active projects
• Excellent communication with field personnel, leadership, subcontractors, and clients
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop EHS professionals and project safety teams
• Oversee comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures across construction projects
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments, and safety reviews
• Identify hazards and develop corrective and preventive actions
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analyses
• Monitor EHS metrics and drive continuous improvement
• Deliver EHS training for employees, subcontractors, and trade partners
• Communicate regulatory requirements and safety procedures to field and project teams
• Promote safe work practices and strengthen safety culture
• Develop emergency response plans and coordinate with clients and teams
