Job summary

Faulconer Construction Co. is seeking a Site Safety Manager to prioritize employees' safety, health, and welfare on active sites in central NC. You will lead by example, coach workers, and influence safe behaviors across teams, reporting to the Sr.

Safety Manager with support from the Safety Team. The role requires 3–5 years' experience on multi-employer construction sites, OSHA 500 certification preferred, and the ability to obtain required certifications within 6 months.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years as a site safety manager on multi-employer construction sites.
• Experience with concrete, cranes, heavy civil, and related trades.
• OSHA 500 certification preferred; willing to obtain within 6 months.
• CPR/FA instructor certification preferred; willing to obtain within 6 months.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass drug screen and background checks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence staff and leadership.
• Willingness to participate in training and development.

Responsibilities

• Site safety inspections.
• Lead incident investigations.
• Provide onsite safety coaching to workers.
• Deliver toolbox talks on safety topics.
• Assist in risk assessments and planning with operations.
• Attend safety meetings with safety team and GC.
• Manage PPE purchases and maintenance.
• Review plans and assist in planning activities.
• Communicate incidents and lessons learned to teams.
• Escalate safety concerns to the safety team.
• Provide weekly safety updates.
