Faulconer Construction Co. is seeking a Site Safety Manager to prioritize employees' safety, health, and welfare on active sites in central NC. You will lead by example, coach workers, and influence safe behaviors across teams, reporting to the Sr.
Safety Manager with support from the Safety Team. The role requires 3–5 years' experience on multi-employer construction sites, OSHA 500 certification preferred, and the ability to obtain required certifications within 6 months.
Reports To: Sr. Safety Manager
The Site Safety Manager will prioritize our employees' safety, health, and welfare. Faulconer believes in LEADING safety, not MANAGING safety. Working in a team environment, the Site Safety Manager will influence safe behaviors through relationship-building and coaching other employees. Candidate will maintain Faulconer's Core Values at all times. This position will report to the Sr. Safety Manager with added guidance and support from the Faulconer Safety Team and Director of Field Safety.
The qualified candidate should reside in the central NC area in close proximity to to job site. The qualified candidate should posses the necessary soft skills to build solid working relationships with all employees and sub-contractors on site, and the ability to influence safe working behaviors in a manner which is respected by the workers and site leadership. The right candidate should also have the ability to influence near miss and incident reporting . In addition, the right candidate should have the ability to stop jobs when warranted, and be able to engage in difficult but professional discussions with operations leadership.
