Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Utah is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer III to solve complex business problems with scalable solutions.

You will configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize applications and their infrastructure using code and cloud technologies. You will contribute to end-to-end operations and reliability, collaborating with teams to ensure availability and performance of mission-critical systems in Corporate and Investment Banking.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years applied experience.
Familiarity with site reliability culture and principles.
Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, and .Net.
Experience with observability and telemetry collection using tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, and others.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform.
Familiarity with container orchestration such as ECS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Ability to collaborate in large teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Guides and assists others in level design and consensus-building.
Collaborates to design and implement deployment approaches using CI/CD pipelines.
Works to design, develop, test, and implement reliable and scalable solutions.
Implements infrastructure, configuration, and network as code.
Resolves complex problems with stakeholders and technical experts.
Monitors service level indicators and uses objectives to preempt issues.
Supports adoption of SRE best practices within the team.
