Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to join a leader in Consumer Technology. This remote, United States–based role focuses on building and supporting reliable, scalable infrastructure powering large-scale consumer experiences.

You will partner with engineering teams to improve uptime, streamline operations, and automate workflows, deployment, and monitoring practices for better performance and availability. 2–4 years in SRE/DevOps and IaC experience are required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in systems/infrastructure, SRE or DevOps.
• Strong understanding of TCP networking with CDN, DNS and CloudNAT.
• Hands-on Linux server administration for high availability.
• Experience analyzing logs and metrics to diagnose issues.
• Familiarity with GCP or AWS and VM autoscaling.
• Proficiency with Terraform and configuration tools like Chef/Ansible.
• Fluency in Go, Python, PHP, or Ruby.

For our client, we are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.

This role will focus on building and supporting reliable, scalable infrastructure that powers large-scale consumer experiences. You will partner closely with engineering teams to improve uptime, streamline operations, and strengthen the systems that keep critical services running smoothly. The position offers the opportunity to automate workflows, enhance deployment and monitoring practices, and drive meaningful improvements in performance and availability.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $124,000 – $186,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable and maintainable systems across the infrastructure stack
• Support daily operations of large-scale applications, including monitoring and troubleshooting
• Automate upgrade procedures for operating systems and core applications
• Manage core infrastructure aspects like asset delivery and async compute processing
• Automate repetitive tasks to reduce team workload
• Create processes for teams to deploy, manage, and monitor applications effectively
• Identify and implement improvements for application reliability and availability

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of software engineering experience in systems/infrastructure, network engineering, SRE, or DevOps, preferably in cloud environments
• Strong understanding of TCP networking and experience with CDN, DNS, and CloudNAT configurations
• Hands-on experience with Linux server administration and debugging for high availability
• Ability to analyze system logs and metrics to diagnose performance issues
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and VM architecture, including autoscaling and capacity planning
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and configuration management (e.g., Chef, Ansible)
• Fluency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Python, PHP, or Ruby
