Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role focuses on keeping large-scale infrastructure reliable across data center and cloud deployments, partnering with engineering and operations to improve deployment, incident response, observability, and resilience.

Location: Remote. You will design automation, build production tools, and participate in on-call rotations while driving scalable operations and faster recovery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in SRE or infrastructure engineering for large-scale environments.
• Strong software development skills in Python and Go with production-quality tooling.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and Linux systems administration.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.

This role will help keep large-scale infrastructure reliable, efficient, and automated across data center and cloud environments. You will work closely with engineering and operations partners to improve deployment, incident response, observability, and system resilience. The position is well suited for someone who enjoys building production-quality tools that reduce manual work and support high-performance compute environments. Success in this role will contribute to scalable operations, faster recovery from issues, and stronger platform stability.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $168,000 – $270,250 annually

• Design and build automation frameworks to minimize manual operational tasks

Qualifications

• BS/BTech in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
• Strong software development skills in Python and/or Go, with a focus on production-quality tools
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Linux systems administration, and container technologies
• Experience building data center automation tools for OS provisioning, image deployment, and configuration management
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and infrastructure-as-code workflows
• Strong understanding of observability practices including metrics, logging, and alerting
