Job summary

Esker is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our US-based SRE team. You will drive automation, observability, and reliability for our multi-tenant SaaS platform, collaborating with experienced engineers while supporting a global customer base.

This role is ideal for those moving from DevOps into SRE or early-career SREs seeking broad exposure to modern stacks, while supporting a platform used by millions of users. Hybrid work with on-site in Middleton, WI.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Site Reliability, DevOps or related role supporting production systems.
• 2+ years operating and maintaining Linux in live production environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (equivalent experience considered).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar.
• Solid Networking foundation (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, proxying).
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases in production.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response to improve reliability.
• Automate infrastructure and deployments using Terraform, Ansible, and Azure DevOps.
• Build monitoring, alerts, and dashboards to improve visibility of system health.
• Design and operate infrastructure for global customer base across Azure and on‑premises.
• Deliver self-serve tools and guardrails for safe production operations.
• Foster blameless postmortems and cross-team reliability initiatives.
