Job summary

Esker is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join its US SRE team in Middleton, WI. You’ll help ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of a multi-tenant SaaS platform, collaborating with engineers while advancing automation and observability across the stack.

The role is ideal for those moving from SysAdmin/DevOps into SRE or early-career SREs seeking breadth across a modern tech stack. Hybrid onsite presence is required in Middleton.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Site Reliability, DevOps, or a related role.
• 2+ years Linux production experience in live environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (equivalent experience accepted).
• Hands-on Infra as Code with Terraform/Ansible/Chef/Puppet or similar.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, proxies.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases in production.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call rotation to improve reliability and incident handling.
• Increase delivery speed via deployment automation and IaC tooling.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and dashboards to improve visibility.
• Design and operate scalable infra across Azure and on‑prem environments.
• Deliver self-service tooling and guardrails for safe production ops.
• Promote blameless postmortems and cross‑team collaboration.
