Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks an IC 2027 Site Reliability Engineer (intern conversion) for on-site roles in El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA. You will prototype cloud solutions, manage Linux systems, and implement DevOps across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS platforms using Kubernetes and major cloud services.

Ideal candidates have a CS/engineering degree, 0–1 year experience, and strong coding skills in Python/Java/C/C++/Go/Rust, plus Linux and Git/Jenkins/ArgoCD familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: degree in computer science/engineering.
• 0-1 year of industry work experience.
• Software development with Python, Java, C/C++, Go, or Rust.
• Comfort with Linux/Unix and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
• Willing to travel ~10% to work location or customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform software and hardware development for cloud-related prototyping.
• Research state-of-the-art software/hardware tech.
• Manage Linux systems to provide SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
• Implement DevOps to streamline build and deployment.
• Leverage AWS, Azure, GCP cloud services and Kubernetes.
