Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Cloud Solutions Engineer in Chantilly, VA to design and deliver secure cloud-based systems supporting DoD, IC, and Civil Space missions. You’ll provide cloud architecture guidance, build proof-of-concept prototypes, and lead architectural reviews with cross-functional teams.

Requirements include a STEM degree, 7+ years’ cloud design experience, Azure expertise, DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Argo), Docker/Kubernetes familiarity, and an active TS/SCI clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, with an emphasis in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud-based systems to meet business or mission needs.
• Proven experience with Azure cloud technologies.
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g. Jenkins, Argo).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud security concepts (e.g., network security, IAM).
• Proficient in Python or Go.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional matrix organization.
• Active TS/SCI clearance issued by the U.S. Government, with ability to obtain SAP.

Responsibilities

• Providing cloud subject matter expertise to DoD, IC, and Civil Space customers
• Developing proof-of-concept prototypes to help customers understand the latest cloud technologies
• Designing and implementing cloud-based solutions to meet customer and mission needs
• Providing guidance on reference cloud architectures and best practices for the space enterprise
• Conducting cloud architecture reviews of customer mission systems
• Conducting research of tools and cloud services to inform stakeholders of ideal or alternative solutions
• Growing departmental knowledge through work, training assignments, and presentations
