The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to design and maintain Kubernetes‑based PaaS for on‑prem and cloud environments, supporting space telemetry and AI workloads.

Role is 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA, with ownership of production Kubernetes services, automation, patching, and capacity planning while collaborating with scientists and engineers on complex space challenges.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years delivering large-scale distributed software systems.
• 5+ years in highly available enterprise environments.
• 2+ years hands-on Kubernetes management (on‑prem/cloud).
• Ownership of production Kubernetes services on‑prem and cloud.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and sustain Kubernetes‑based PaaS for production use.
• Manage Kubernetes across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Patch, upgrade, tune performance, and ensure backups/DR.
• Provide after-hours support during launches and incidents.
• Automate operations using code and scripting.
